Every 180 years, the cosmic cycle of the Nine Palaces and Eight Cycles undergoes a major transition. Externally, it is to reconstruct ancient wisdom, heal the spirit, and practice self-awakening through benefiting others, working together to establish a Pure Land in the human world.
【 Part I: Inner Realization and Self-Awakening: Guiding Sentient Beings to Awaken from Samsara and Return to the Origin of Life】
When expounding the Dharma and transmitting the teachings of Esoteric Buddhism and Internal Elixir cultivation, Master Zhang Bu Sheng often delivers a powerful wake-up call to his disciples. The essence of his teachings is not to display extraordinary spiritual abilities or mystical attainments, but to confront the deepest truth of human existence: the rarity of obtaining a human birth and the suffering of samsara.

As many Dharma seekers have realized during intensive training bootcamps: if all our past lifetimes since beginningless time were compressed into a single 24-hour day, with each lifetime lasting only one minute, a practitioner might spend the first minute enjoying celestial blessings in the Heavenly Realm until all merit is exhausted; the next minute reborn in the Hell Realm, enduring immense suffering; and the following minute returning to the Human Realm, endlessly revolving around wealth, sensual pleasures, fame, food, and sleep—never escaping the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death; separation from loved ones; encounters with the disliked; unfulfilled desires; and the suffering of grasping.
Master Zhang Bu Sheng’s Original Aspiration is to help sentient beings break free from this terrifying illusion of samsara. Through his compassionate educational mission and a series of advanced cultivation bootcamps—including the Illusory Body Program, Holy Infant Program, and Internal Elixir Cultivation Program—his foremost objective is to awaken Renunciation and Bodhicitta within practitioners.
He wishes every Dharma seeker to deeply realize how extraordinarily precious it is to obtain a human body, to encounter an authentic master, and to connect with a genuine Dharma lineage. More importantly, he reminds practitioners that the time remaining in this lifetime is exceedingly limited. His aspiration is to help sentient beings stop squandering their lives on worldly attachments that yield no ultimate accomplishment, and instead focus on the supreme goal of attainment within one lifetime.
2. From “Constant Cleansing” to “Freedom from Defilement”: Rediscovering the Original True Self
In the process of inner life transformation, Master Zhang Bu Sheng’s aspiration is to guide practitioners toward complete liberation from the limitations of both matter and consciousness.
Traditional cultivation often remains at the level described by the verse: “Diligently polish it time and again; do not allow dust to settle.” Practitioners struggling amidst the dust of the mundane world frequently find themselves trapped by mental afflictions and inner demons, unable to free themselves.
Master Zhang’s aspiration is to help practitioners transcend the restless activity of the Sixth Discriminating Consciousness. Using modern language and scientific perspectives, he skillfully elucidates the profound teachings of ancient classics, openly revealing the method of Returning the Light and Abiding in the Center (回光守中) from The Secret of the Golden Flower.
He teaches students to distinguish between the Light of Inner Nature and the Light of Consciousness. During cultivation at Guangming Peak in Alishan, practitioners gently rest their gaze upon the tip of the nose with partially opened eyes, releasing the subjective judgments and analytical tendencies of the consciousness mind while preserving the original awareness of the Primal Spirit (元神). His aspiration is to explain these profound truths through language that modern people can understand and through scientific principles they can relate to. Whether discussing the Three Channels and Four Wheels, the Du Meridian and Central Meridian, the perineal muscle system, or the intricate network of energetic channels within the human body, he seeks to bridge ancient cultivation wisdom with contemporary understanding.
Whether guiding disciples at Zen Origin in Taiwan, to nurture the Holy Infant and attain the Eternal Holographic Innate Form (永生性体), or leading practitioners into the advanced internal cultivation stages of the Jade Elixir, Golden Elixir, and Purple-Golden Great Elixir, Master Zhang consistently encourages students to personally verify their experiences through principles such as quantum collapse and frequency resonance, while accurately correcting obstacles encountered during cultivation.
